I would just like to say a few words about my operation which has helped me tremendously and can't thank Mr Budd enough. I am no longer in pain and am making progress much quicker than I expected also I have my independence back again and feeling more in control of my life again thankyou so much. If you are thinking of having Spinal Surgery please give it a try it's worked for me and I'm forever grateful to the Spinal Team. Kind regards Gwen French.

My mother saw Mr Budd after much research in June 2023 and from the moment we met Mr Budd he was helpful, reassuring and more importantly knew what he was talking about. My mother is 83 and had been suffering with a lot of spine pain and it was getting worse. She discussed her issues with Mr Budd and he took time to listen then examined her back and promised after taking into consideration everything he would do his very best. Three months on mums quality of life has massively improved with hardly any more pain. As a family we cant thank Mr Budd enough for everything he has done and the follow up phone calls with the reassurance we can contact him again if needed. Thank you so much Jean and family

I received a L4-5 decrompression and instrumented posterolateral fusion operation performed June 2023 following two years of suffering numbness from my hips down to my toes, dropped foot and loss of balance. The same day of my operation I was a new man, no numbness and able to go home the same day of operation with 28 staples in my back. Within a week had no discomfort and my posture was so much better. My wife and I are so grateful to Henry Budd for the amazing work he does and the hospital staff for the care they gave to me as my quality of life is a 100 percent so much better

I had a lumbar micro discectomy. Before the operation I could barely walk due to the intensity of the sciatic pain. After the operation 95% of the pain immediately disappeared. I'm left with some numbness in the right foot and slight twinges on the right calf, all very low level. I'm almost back to normal activities in every sphere, amazing. Thank you Henry Budd.

I first met Mr Budd in 2019 when he performed emergency surgery on my L5/S1 following a loss of sensation to my right upper leg, including my bladder. The surgery was successful, however after suffering from sciatica and lower back pain for over 10 years due to my career in nursing, the pain in my lower back returned 18 months later and was followed by right sided numbness to my buttock, lower leg and foot a few months after. Unfortunately, as I come under Torbay Trust, I had to see multiple physiotherapists at Torbay and undergo treatment with them before being referred back to Mr Budd at the RD+E. As a result of chronic pain, not being able to enjoy life anymore with my family/friends and work colleagues and the frustration with the NHS system, as I had been previously treated by the spinal team at the RD+E, I contacted Mr Budd's secretary directly to explain my current situation and dilemma, and thankfully due to her and Mr Budd, I was seen a little sooner and began my new journey with him, resulting in my most recent discectomy to L4/L5. This has been a success and I have no more lower back pain or leg pain and I am now able to return to work and feel I can start living my life once again. I am truly grateful for Mr Budd's care and treatment, including his honesty to what treatment he can offer and which he feels would be more beneficial to me and my current situation. I know that in the future, if I have any more issues with my spine, I will ask to be seen by Mr Budd as he knows my medical history and has always provided me with excellent care and support.
